Brief info

Dominique Mieguim, the founder and President of Joints Efforts to Scale-Up ImpactS (JESUIS-Association), is an impassioned advocate for Biodiversity conservation and environmental sustainability.

In 2014, Dominique obtained her Master Degree in Biology-Ecology and Parasitology- in Cameroon with the University of Yaoundé 1 working on fish Ecology. She latter spearheaded a project on assessing climate change on endemic fish from Barombi Mbo Crater lake in Cameroon, funded by the Rufford Foundation for Nature and Conservation.
In 2018, Dominique was awarded an early career grant by the Royal Society and Tropical Medicine and Hygiene to pursue her PhD research in medical entomology at OCEAC-CAMEROON and has been since then undertaking her PhD while growing professionally in Canada and Abroad.
In 2019, Dominique Joined the Canadian Conservation Corps and worked as a Wetland Restoration Specialist at Clean Foundation and as a Care Coordinator at VitalAire- Canada.
In 2022, Dominique was selected as one of the TOP40 2022-2023 Young African Women Leaders by the African Union Commission and the United Nations Development Programmes (UDNP) and joined UNDP-Côte d'Ivoire as a Program Analyst under the Inclusive sustainable Development Unit.
Dominique is currently a Global Policy Network Expert (International Consultant) on Nature-Climate and Energy: NDC (Nationally Determined Contributions) Development and President of JESUIS Association. She dedicated herself to fight against poverty and promote sustainable development in the Cameroonian communities.
